2. Bài mẫu chủ đề Hobbies - IELTS Speaking Part 1

Trong phần 1 của bài thi Nói - IELTS Speaking, giám khảo sẽ giới thiệu sơ qua bản thân và yêu cầu thí sinh giới thiệu về mình. 3. Bài mẫu chủ đề Hobbies - IELTS Speaking Part 2

Trong IELTS Speaking Part 2, các bạn sẽ nhận được 1 cue card từ giám khảo yêu cầu bạn nói về một chủ đề nào đó trong khoảng 2 phút. Nếu đề bài yêu cầu bạn miêu tả về một mẫu quảng cáo “Describe a hobby you enjoy”, bạn có thể trình bày theo ý tưởng như sau:

Câu hỏi: Describe a hobby you enjoy - Listening to music

I would say that I listen to different music genres depending on different occasions. I often listen to jazz and soul music without lyrics when working or before sleeping. Fortunately, my company often plays jazz music to boost our focus and productivity, so I feel like I’m working in a peaceful coffee shop rather than a professional workplace. I have to admit that they’re really helpful for those who do meditation or want to improve their concentration. This is simply due to the pleasant melody that keeps us staying focused. Moreover, such kinds of music help me find inner peace and overcome mental disorders like sleep deprivation or distraction.

I also listen to sad songs when I’m heartbroken or stressed out. You know, they have psychological healing effects that can help me recover from my anxiety and depression. However, some of my friends prefer listening to rock music with a strong melody that is often played in bars or public events. I honestly couldn’t stand it.

I think the benefits of music are endless, mostly about psychology and mentality, and everyone has their own go-to music genre depending on their personalities.

It is extremely hard to pick one hobby to talk about since I have tons. However, the first thing that pops up in my mind is traveling.

I guess I inherited this trait from my mom, who is a passionate traveler. My mother was a teacher, and annually her school organized a trip for all the teachers and staff. Therefore, I’ve been to different famous tourist attractions so far, which sparks my interest in travel.

Unlike most people, I’m keen on traveling with both family and friends. I believe each one has its own values. My family still maintains the habit of having at least 3 vacations a year. Our favorite spot is Da Lat city, a place known for its mild weather and hospitable people. Meanwhile, I have a group of friends who share the same interest in going off the beaten track. We find it exciting to immerse ourselves in pure nature rather than being in crowded places.

There are numerous reasons why travel is a vital part of my life. Firstly, I have a pretty hectic schedule which constantly puts me under pressure, so traveling is an occasion that allows me to unwind and alleviate all the stress and burdens in my life.

In addition, I always think that life is too short and there are so many things in the world to explore. It would be a waste if we don’t go out and find out how beautiful the world is. “The more you go, the more you know” is my life maxim. The feeling of trying a new local speciality or learning about a new culture or custom makes me so delighted. I literally broaden my horizons after every trip or even expand my social circle.

Sure, I’m with that idea. Men and women have pretty much different preferences. Males tend to prefer extreme sports and demanding activities such as racing or scuba diving while females seem to be keen on sedentary and less intensive activities such as making handicrafts or cooking.

Physical condition also contributes to this difference. For example, rock climbing or wrestling may be too daunting for most women. However, there are still some exceptions. It could be a man who loves to cook or a woman who likes to become a bodybuilder

Well, it depends on what kind of hobby you have. On the other hand, unhealthy hobbies like doom scrolling, I mean surfing the Internet for hours and eating fast food not only takes away time spent for other valuable activities, but also lead to diseases and mental problems such as obesity, distraction and procrastination.
