Well, I would say since I have a sweet tooth, I am a huge fan of desserts. But if I had to choose one, it would be cheesecakes. I usually follow a recipe I learned from the Internet. It has quite a few ingredients, but the process is not complicated. On special occasions, I usually make cheesecakes to serve my family after dinner.

Câu hỏi: What are some traditional foods in your country?

Well, Vietnam has a very rich cultural diversity, which means that there are various types of traditional food. To name some, there are Chung cake, spicy beef noodle soup, or sticky rice. Actually, every region has its own local speciality, but I do believe that Pho is still the most popular one among other dishes. It’s very well-seasoned and can be served for any mealtime during the day.

Câu hỏi: Describe a special meal you have had

Bài mẫu: One of the most memorable meals that I have ever eaten was a couple of years ago when I was sick, well actually, just recovered from sickness. I had digestive disorder so I could not eat anything but bland porridge for a week; otherwise I would have vomited constantly. The first couple of days staying at home went just fine, I had enough to entertain me. In fact, I felt relaxed because I had time to binge watch my favorite drama. However, by the end of that week, I could not stand that meal. I could not even think about it. Fortunately, I was getting better so I could eat other dishes. My mother made me spaghetti with beef and mushroom which she knew was my favorite. It was a basic Italian dish that instantly made my mood improve. It did not take much time and energy to cook though; basically, there was ground beef, sliced fresh mushrooms, chopped garlic and onions served with tomato sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese. It tasted like heaven to me. The ground beef was savory mixed with a little cheesy flavor. My mom's homemade meal was not only appetizing but also nutritious because I was not consuming protein and fat for a whole week.

Câu hỏi: Describe a place you like to eat at you should say

I would like to talk about a nice classy restaurant in the city center called “Buzza Pizza” but it is actually located in a small quiet street in district 1. This restaurant serves various meals of Italian cuisine that I really enjoy. For example, they serve delicacies such as pasta, pizza, tomato soup and especially risotto – an Italian rice with either seafood or vegetables. I particularly love their risotto. In fact, I love Italian food because it is all about fresh, flavorful ingredients. Not only are they popular for their risotto, but their pizzas also make my mouth water because of their cheesy flavor. That’s why I eat in that restaurant frequently and now even with my family and friends for a slap-up meal if we have anything to celebrate or sometimes, to wine and dine. The restaurant is quite spacious and all the staff are very friendly but at dinner time, it’s very crowded and noisy. Italian landscapes are painted on their walls so I always feel like I’m in Italy whenever I’m there. About the price, although it’s not cheap at all, its quality justifies the bill.

It would definitely be desserts. I have a sweet tooth, and I always expect a cup of ice cream at the end of the meal. Needless to mention that most desserts are beautifully decorated, which makes them much more mouth-watering.

Câu hỏi: What kinds of foreign food are popular in your country?

From my observation, I think it’s definitely Japanese cuisine. There are so many Japanese restaurants in HCM city, selling varieties of dishes too, not just sushi. This is just my guess, but I think the reason for this is that, even though we use different spices and cooking methods, the philosophy behind Vietnamese cuisine and Japanese food is very much similar: both aims for an elemental balance and harmony between the ingredients, and both really utilize the healing properties of herbs and vegetables into cooking.
