Ngữ pháp phân biệt Have và Have Got

A. Ý nghĩa và cách sử dụng của Have và Have got trong tiếng Anh

Cả Have và Have got đều mang nghĩa là "Sở hữu, làm chủ, có,... ". Chúng không khác nhau về mặt ý nghĩa và bạn có thể sử dụng một trong hai. Tuy nhiên “have got” thường được sử dụng trong giao tiếp hơn have. “Have” được sử dụng trong các văn bản chính quy (hợp đồng, …)

- We've got a new car. Hoặc We have a new car. Chúng tôi có một chiếc xe hơi mới.

- Ann has got two sisters. Hoặc Ann has two sisters. Ann có hai người chị gái.

- Our house has got a small garden. Hoặc Our house has a small garden. Ngôi nhà của chúng tôi có một khu vườn nhỏ.

- He's got a few problems. Hoặc He has a few problems. Anh ta có một số vấn đề.

Chúng ta có thể sử dụng have got hoặc have để nói về bệnh tật, đau ốm,...

- I've got a headache hoặc I have a headache. Tôi bị đau đầu.

B. Dạng câu hỏi và phủ định với Have và Have got

Với dạng câu “Have got”, chúng ta không sử dụng sự động từ “do hoặc don’t” cho dạng câu hỏi và câu phủ định. Ở dạng câu hỏi, chúng ta sử dụng “Have hoặc Has”.

Ví dụ:

- Have you got any money? - haven't got any money

- Do you have any momey? - don't have any money

- Have you any money? - haven't any money (Ít sử dụng)

- Has she got a car? - She hasn't got a car

- Does she have a car? - She doesn't have a car

- Has she a car? - She hasn't a car. (Ít sử dụng)

Khi have mang nghĩa sở hữu thì bạn không được sử dụng với các thì tiếp diễn.

Ví dụ:

- I have/ I've got a headache (không nói 'I'm having')

Tôi bị đau đầu.
